I am an innovative storyteller with many years of experience honing my craft in television, film, and journalism. I can spin riveting stories out of thin air, or shape them from all manner of gathered information and media. I'm an energetic writer and director who can carry a project from idea to screen, with intense attention to detail. I am as comfortable in the hot seat of deadline-driven production as I am in the producer's chair leading creative teams through project completion. I'm a two-time Emmy-nominated television editor for my work on Survivor. My passion for story is deep-rooted and infectious, and I love nothing more than to plant a good story and cultivate its growth.
I began my career over 25 years ago, cutting documentaries and news on ¾” linear edit systems, and moved up the ranks and through technology, to become the first woman editor to gain permanent status on the 15-male-strong editing team for Survivor, capping off my time there as supervising editor. I am a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, The Motion Picture Editors Guild, and the less formal League of Extraordinary Editors in Los Angeles. I hold a BA in Journalism from the University of Georgia, a BFA in Studio Art from Emily Carr University of Art + Design, and a certificate in electronic and film media from the Banff Centre for the Arts.
